Welcome Letter

Dear Parents, Students and Community Members, 

It is an honor to be the new Principal at Park Ridge Elementary.  I love the positive energy of our students and staff.  The staff here is so encouraging and caring to our students. Our mission is to first build relationships, that will then inspire even deeper learning.  The students here at Park Ridge really form bonds with many adults in the building, which creates a safe place to learn. 

We are excited about our Expeditionary Learning (eleducation.org) and hope to continue to build it school wide.  In Expeditionary Learning, we all belong to different, and, the same CREWS, where we learn from each other.   Expeditionary Learning is a rigorous, but, community serving, character building, social justice type of learning where students learn to take academic risks, collaborate, and foster Habits of Character, all built into the curriculum. Our goal is to also have our students create projects/expeditions/presentations to enhance their learning.  

We pride ourselves on being “The Ridge” and show our Falcon Pride every day.
