Meet Mrs. Lara
Hi, I am Mrs. Lara, I am married, and I have 3 grown children, all BSU college graduates. I have 3 grandchildren. Hazel 6 years, Violet 4 years, and Lou 3 years old. I love spending time with my family.
I am a huge fan of the Green Bay Packers, Duke Basketball, and sports in general. I enjoy being outdoors, and vacationing at the Oregon Coast. I love baking, running, biking, and going for walks on the Boise green belt. I also like gardening, flowers, and veggies. I have a love for coffee, AKA my jumpy juice. I love house plants and school supplies! I am a lifelong learner and would like to pursue my master's in science or Math.
I spent 20 years in the business world. I returned to Boise State University to pursue my true passion and follow my dreams of being an educator. I graduated from Boise State University in 2019, I have a Bachelor in Elementary Education with a Literacy endorsement. Before becoming a certified teacher, I completed my internships in 1st and 4th grade at Taft Elementary School. After graduation, I enjoyed teaching math and literacy as a Title 1 Professional for grades 1st through 6th. I taught 3rd grade at Nampa Online Virtual Academy . This is my second-year teaching second grade at the Ridge! I am eager to share my love for learning and excited to teach second grade again this year at the Ridge!
