Park Ridge Library

Hi!  I am the librarian at Park Ridge!  This is my 6th year at Park Ridge and I love it!  I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 26 years and we have 5 amazing kids.  All of my kids have been Park Ridge students.  As a family we love to hike, snowboard, and spend many lazy days on the lake tubing and wakeboarding.

 

Last year in Library I incorporated centers that were art, stem, and play based during library time for Kindergarten through 2nd grade.  I included do-it-yourself art stations, STEM building stations, legos, makerspace, just to name a few.  This year I will be seeing 3rd-5th grade as well for library time for 45 minutes.  I plan on using many of my stations I used for the younger grades as well as bringing in research projects, writing prompts, readers theatre, and genius hour for these older grades.  When my students come to library I want them to not only be able to help them find a good book they want to read, but I want to engage them actively, so when they are learning they are having fun!
